Visitor Guide
At Grove Hill Memorial Hospital, we value family-centered care and the dignity of the individual. To that end, we believe that visits from family members and friends play an important role in the healing process. We also believe that rest is important and that all patients deserve a quiet and private recovery period. Designated visiting hours and policies provide an effective mechanism to support these goals.

Patient Visitation
Patient visitation will be limited to two (2) people at any one time except under circumstances when more visitors are deemed necessary for the patient’s welfare.
Children under the age of 12 are not permitted on the inpatient units. It is inappropriate for infants and children to be in a surgical patient’s room. If an adult visitor must bring a child with them to the hospital then another adult should stay with the child in the lobby during the visit.
During the first few days following a surgical procedure, patients are more susceptible to infection. Visitors who have experienced a fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, skin rash, vomiting or diarrhea within the past 48 hours should refrain from visitation in any area of the hospital. Once you have been symptom-free for 48 hours, you are welcome to visit and check on your family member or friend.
